July 2026: Composition Tips & Tricks For Illustrators
For our recent Swansea Illustrators Club meetup, I ran a session all about "Composition Tips & Tricks." As always, this was part of the local AOI Meet Ups network, and I designed the promotional poster to give attendees a clear visual taste of what we’d be exploring. During the workshop, I guided the group through different techniques for framing, balance, and visual flow to help everyone make their illustrations more dynamic and engaging. It was a fantastic evening sharing these tools and seeing how the local community applied them to their own work.

May 2026: Find Your Style Workshop
In May, I ran a "Find Your Style" workshop for the Swansea Illustrators Club, a community I host as part of the AOI Meet Ups network. The session was focused on helping local artists explore and refine their unique visual voices through hands-on exercises and portfolio sharing. I designed the promotional poster to capture that creative, explorative energy, keeping the visuals inviting and inspiring. It ended up being a really rewarding evening of discussing the sometimes-messy journey of establishing a recognizable personal illustration style.
February 2026: Portrait Carousel Workshop
I facilitated and hosted the February Swansea Illustrators Club meetup by designing a high-energy "Portrait Carousel" workshop. I ran this session as a rapid-fire, speed-dating style drawing event where local creatives brought their own sketchbooks and favorite materials to quickly capture expressive portraits of one another in a fun, fast-paced environment.
November 2025: Inaugural Period-Dress Life Drawing
To launch the Swansea Illustrators Club, I organized and hosted our very first monthly workshop this November in association with the AOI. I ran this inaugural period-dress life drawing event in collaboration with special guests from the Swansea Little Theatre, creating an inclusive, all-abilities space for local illustrators to connect, sketch, and build a creative community.

June 2026: Instrument Drawing Bootcamp
For our June meetup, I ran an "Instrument Drawing Boot Camp" to challenge the club with some complex, mechanical subject matter. I illustrated and designed the poster with a fun, structured vibe to reflect the boot-camp theme. During the session, I guided the group through different observational drawing techniques, breaking down the dynamic forms and tricky details of musical instruments. It was a fantastic way to practice technical skills while catching up with the local creative community.
March 2026: Sherlock Holmes Murder Mystery
For the March meetup of the Swansea Illustrators Club, I organized and hosted an ambitious "Sherlock Holmes: Portraits of Guilt" event. I ran this interactive period-costume life drawing and murder mystery session by partnering once again with a cast from the Swansea Little Theatre, allowing attendees to sketch live suspects and solve a narrative crime in real-time.

January 2026: Visual Metaphor Workshop
Kicking off the new year, I designed and hosted the January Swansea Illustrators Club meetup, which featured a unique "New Year's Resolution Visual Metaphor" workshop. I ran this interactive session to challenge attendees to think conceptually, guiding them through the process of translating their abstract personal goals and resolutions into compelling visual illustrations.
